How long does a person have to be in a small space before claustrophobia sets in?

Question: How long does a person have to be in a small space before claustrophobia sets in?

If someone actually has claustrophobia, I mean. Is it different for different people, depending on how severe their claustrophobia is? Sorry, I need it for a book.

Depends on the person. Some people never get claustrophobic while others only need to have people to close to them and it sets it off for them.,

If you are claustrophobic it is as the first person says.. instant. Even the thought of going in a small space would set it off. For others, they might start off a little nervous and slowly it would grown. For me, it would never set in as long as there was air supply. I like small spaces. For an average person they could not get 'phobic' for some time unless they suspected they couldn't ever get out or they were in danger.
