Oh my gosh, yes. I have the worst case, just everything about it.. it gives me chills. = \ Like even if someone just says they don't feel too good or their stomach hurts, I feel compelled to stay my distance haha it's terrible.

In less than a year, I've seen one or perhaps two complaints like yours. The book Living with Fear by researcher Isaac Marks is one of the treatments for phobia recommended by a British government agency.

I have it too, you're not alone. I don't vomit in at least 8 years (I'm 16). It's a good thing, since I do all I can not to vomit, though I once almost died without air because I put my hands on the mouth to stop the vomit to come out.

About 2 years ago I did have it. I would freak out whnever anyone said they didn't feel good, or had a stomach ache. I avoided going out to eat at all costs, afraid it would make me sick. I frantically checked expiration dates on foods at home, and avoided dairy and meat. I thought it would consume my life forever, I told my mom and went to one therapy session, and never went back. I wanted to deal with it on my own. I'm 14 now, and I don'tfreak out about it nearly as much. I used to be afraid to fall asleep feeling like I'd wake up in the middle of the night and throw up. Anyways, it went away on its own. And it's hard, and annoying, but it will pass. It's a hard thing to deal with, but I hope it works out for you (:

I've had it since age three. I used to have panic attacks literally every day. Usually when I woke up before school (yes, even in elementary), during school, and before bed (because I was afraid I'd wake up sick in the middle of the night). Then after a six-month round of counseling supplemented with citalopram four years ago, the severity greatly reduced and I was in remission. Well, sort of in what I call a "situational phobia ", where I would only panic if someone in my house was sick. The phobia has come back a few times since then, often during norovirus season, but as of late it has been quite manageable. I'm currently having a slight anxiety attack now, but they often go away overnight and only reappear sporadically. Maybe about 8-9 times a year. You needn't worry so much though - emetophobes often have very strong stomachs and can go years without vomiting. You're definitely not alone!
